Center for Nonprofit Resources

The Center for Nonprofit Resources, formerly housed at the Shasta Regional Community Foundation, is now located in the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Downtown Redding. Oversight of the Center is provided by Shasta College’s Economic and Workforce Development Division.

The Center maintains a resource library and the Foundation Center database for grant research. If you’re researching grants for your non-profit, this unique database is a great starting point. It includes 80,000 grant-making foundations and information on half a million grants. News and grant distribution charts are also available.

Workshops are also held that provide research strategies, help people understand the grant-seeking process, and lead to understanding what funders are looking for.

New courses and activities targeting the nonprofit are regularly added. Please refer to the Events page on Shasta College’s Economic and Workforce Development web site for additional information: www3.shastacollege.edu/ewd.

Nonprofit Organizational Management Certificate of Completion

Shasta College also provides the Nonprofit Organizational Management Certificate of Completion to serve as a solid educational base for the numerous non-profits in the area. The courses were designed to enhance the leadership team’s understanding of effective non-profit management, strengthening the organization’s effectiveness. The Certificate was developed as a collaborative effort with the support and assistance of the Shasta Regional Community Foundation. The Nonprofit Certificate of Completion is also available online now to provide greater flexibility for individuals to enroll in the series of courses.
