Jennifer Skuce Pavilion - McArthur
The Intermountain Junior Rodeo Association was awarded $250,000 to complete the Jennifer Skuce Pavilion in McArthur (eastern Shasta County). The building, located on the Intermountain Fairgrounds, is a gift to the region in memory of Jennifer Skuce.

Weed Community Center - Weed
The Siskiyou Community Center was granted $400,000 to construct the Weed Community Center, in order to provide year-round civic, social, cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities for Siskiyou County. The Community Center will be on donated land adjacent to the campus of the College of the Siskiyous and will include a multi-purpose room and a commercial kitchen. SCHC is a non-profit, primary health care system based in Redding, serving Shasta and surrounding counties since 1988. The health center provides high quality, compassionate care to specific patient groups such as low income, special-needs patients, the uninsured, and the homeless. A challenge grant of $1.2 million was made by the Foundation in 1999 to help the health center purchase and renovate its current facility.
